UConn hockey tries to keep its undefeated start going on Friday night during a trip to Worcester to take on Holy Cross.
UConn (2-0-0, 0-0-0 Hockey East) had a successful start to the 2024-2025 season last weekend. The Huskies were at home and swept Colgate, with wins of 4-2 and 6-2. It was a good first step for a Huskies team coming off of a 15-19-2 season. Junior forward Jake Percival led the way for the Huskies, with three goals and an assist over those two games. Junior goalie Tyler Muszelik started both games and stopped 50 of the 54 shots he faced. The Huskies will now look to continue that strong start as they play their first road game of the year, at Holy Cross (0-1-0, 0-0-0 AHA) on Friday night in the first game of what is a home-and-home series this weekend. These two games will be the final two ‘tune-ups’ for UConn before conference play begins next week.

This is the second year the Huskies and Crusaders will play an early season home-and-home series. Last year the Crusaders upset the then-No. 20 Huskies with a sweep, winning 2-1 and 2-0.
