After a perfect start to conference play and a week off, No. 12 St. Cloud State returns to NCHC play this weekend for a pair of games at No. 8 Colorado College starting on Friday night.
On Friday night, No. 12 St. Cloud State (8-3-0, 2-0-0 NCHC) puts its unbeaten conference record on the line as the Huskies visit No. 8 Colorado College (8-1-1, 2-1-1 NCHC) at Ed Robson Arena for the first of two games this weekend. The Huskies kicked off conference play two weeks ago, and swept Miami (OH) with a 3-2 overtime win and 3-1 win at home. They were the only NCHC team off last week, leaving them as just one of two teams in the NCHC (along with No. 1 Denver) without a conference loss to this point.

Colorado College began its conference slate by sweeping Arizona State at home two weeks ago. Last week was tougher as the Tigers played a pair of overtime games in Kalamazoo against Western Michigan, losing one and tying the other.
This weekend’s matchup pits two of the best defensive teams in the country against each other. Colorado College ranks second in the conference and third nationally allowing 1.6 goals against per game. St. Cloud State ranks fourth in the conference and ninth nationally in that category, allowing 1.91 goals against per game.
These teams played twice last year, with both of those games also taking place at Ed Robson Arena. It was an even split, with St. Cloud State winning 2-1 in overtime in the Friday night matchup, before the Tigers came back with a 5-3 win on Saturday.
