Michigan takes on Boston College in the second game of the Frozen Four on Thursday night.
Michigan takes the ice to battle Boston College on Thursday night in the Frozen Four. The Wolverines come into the Frozen Four as the only non-top seed left. Denver, Boston University and Boston College were all top seeds in their regions. The Wolverines went into the tournament as the third seed in their region, but they upset North Dakota 4-3 and then beat rival and top-seeded Michigan State 5-2 in the finals. The Wolverines had lost to the Spartans just a week before in the Big Ten Championship game and had lost four of five games to them. They got their revenge, though, as they scored four times in the third period to make the Frozen Four for the third straight year.

The Eagles are looking to slow down the Wolverines as they go for their 15th straight win. They come into Thursday as the hottest team in college hockey and they haven’t lost since Boston University beat them back on Feb. 5.
They have been red hot since, but they nearly got upset in the regional final as they needed overtime to slip by defending National Champion Quinnipiac.
The Eagles trailed the Bobcats 2-0 in the second period, as they gave up goals just 35 seconds apart. They would answer with the next two goals, but would go down again before tying it late in the second period.
The Bobcats once again took the lead, but a goal by Aram Minnetian tied it at the 15:18 mark of the third period. Jack Malone would then become the hero as he scored 3:06 into overtime to send the Eagles to the Frozen Four.
Regional restrictions may apply.
