    The Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League are hosting a club hockey matchup on Saturday between Purdue (8-7-0) and Northwestern (6-7-1) on Saturday afternoon at Allstate Arena in Chicago. Both schools are members of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, a national organization for college club hockey, with the Wildcats competing in the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association and the Boilermakers in the Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference. Both are Division 3 programs in the ACHA, with Purdue ranked No. 19 in the most recent ACHA Division 3 rankings.

    Purdue has won its last two games, finishing 2-1 in a three-day event at the Canlan Ice Center in West Dundee, Illinois, beating Northwestern 9-4 after taking a 4-2 win from Nebraska and losing 6-2 to Notre Dame. Tyler Groen leads the team with 15 goals and 28 points while Kayne Pasquet is 5-7-0 in 12 games in net with an .861 save percentage and a 4.36 goals-against average.

    Northwestern was x-x at the same event. Besides the loss to Purdue, the Wildcats fell to Nebraska 6-0 and to Notre Dame 9-1. Brett Janifer has seven goals and 11 points for the club while Rafael Biedron also has 11 points with four goals included. Aden Benson is 3-4-1 in goal with an .871 save percentage and 4.54 GAA.

    Last season, the ACHA crowned champions in all three divisions, with Adrian College beating UNLV for its third Division 1 title, Indiana topping Miami (Ohio) for its first Division 2 crown and Lawrence Tech claiming its first Division 3 championship by beating Grand Valley State.
