The fifth annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational tees off for the second day from Johnson, Arkansas.
The Blessings Collegiate Invitational heads into its second round as the calendar flips into October. This 54-hole stroke play tournament is a mixed event with 10 men’s teams and 10 women’s teams. This is the second day of a three-day event that will end Wednesday. The participating schools in this invitational include Arkansas, BYU, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Kent State, LSU, Louisville, Ohio State, Missouri, and Virginia Tech. This is one of the most prestigious events in all of collegiate golf and the Razorbacks are the hometown team with this Blessings Golf Club located in Johnson, Arkansas which is near Fayetteville.

Speaking of the Razorbacks, The 23rd-ranked Arkansas men’s golf team has three players among the top 20. The team is tied for third overall with an 11-over-par total score of 299. The Razorbacks are led by John Daly II with a one-over-par. No. 15 LSU is running away with the field for the men leading the tournament after the first day sitting at three under 285. Mississippi State is the only other team to finish under par in the first round at one-under 287.
It is the Arkansas’ women’s team that is doing the best out of any team though. The Razorbacks sit at nine-under-par. Only Mississippi State is the only team that is under par sitting two under. Kansas State rounds out the top three and they are sitting even. It must be good to be in the backyard. Can the Razorbacks keep it rolling on day two?
