In-state rivals Oregon and Oregon State will conclude their Pac-12 series on Sunday afternoon in Corvallis.
A top-25 matchup will take place on Sunday afternoon as No. 22 Oregon takes on No. 13 Oregon State in Corvallis for the teams’ Pac-12 series finale. The Ducks are currently in fourth place in the conference standings with a Pac-12 record of 11-9 and an overall record of 28-14. The team has lost two in a row after dropping both games in this series with a 2-0 loss in the first game and a 4-2 loss last night. Drew Smith brought in both runs for the Ducks with a solo home run in the third and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Oregon State held Oregon to just three hits in the loss which went to Logan Mercado on the mound after one innings of work in which he struck out two batters.

The Beavers are just above the Ducks in the conference standings and are currently 12-7 in Pac-12 play and 33-9 overall. The team has won three games in a row after last night’s 4-2 win in front of a home crowd of nearly 4,000 fans. Elijah Hainline led the offense with two RBI from a two-run single in the eighth inning to take the lead and eventually the win. Jacob Kmatz got the start on the mound for the Beavers and struck out an impressive 10 batters before Joey Mundt came in to earn his second win of the season with 1.2 innings of work in which he struck out two. Bridger Holmes earned the save, his 10th of the season, with one inning of work, striking out each of the three batters he faced.
