The NCAA Tournament gets going this weekend in college baseball with the NCAA Regional round. This round is a four-team, double-elimination round. In the Tucson regional, things get started on Friday when West Virginia takes on Dallas Baptist. The Mountaineers are coming off a poor showing in the Big 12 tournament, losing 5-2 to TCU and 8-4 to Kansas State. That brings the team’s overall record to 33-22.

Dallas Baptist went 44-13 this season and comes into Friday’s game on a four-game win streak. The school, which plays in the Division II level in all other sports, defeated Louisiana Tech 17-10 to win the Conference USA tournament, going undefeated in the four games. The team won each game by at least two runs.
