Oregon State went 40-19 n the regular season and was 12-8 on the road this season, while Texas A&M went 48-13 this season and is dominant at home with a 36-3 record. Texas A&M got off to a great start in its Super Regional, defeating Oregon 10-6 in the opener of the three-game set on Saturday. Texas A&M got to this point by sweeping through its regional last weekend, defeating Grambling 8-0, archrival Texas 4-2 in 11 innings and Louisiana 9-4. That win for the Aggies over the Longhorns had to feel particularly great for the players, coaches and fanbase.
Oregon, meanwhile, had to go to the Santa Barbara regional last weekend and came out unscathed, defeating host Santa Barbara back-to-back games 2-1 and 3-0 to get to the Super Regional portion of the college baseball season.
