There have been some upsets in the SEC baseball tournament, which is how a spot in the title game will go to either 10-seed South Carolina or 11-seed LSU. The Tigers opened play with a 9-1 win over Georgia, then followed that up with an 11-0 win over Kentucky and an 11-10 win over South Carolina to propel the team to this game. As for South Carolina, the Gamecocks beat Alabama 10-5 then Arkansas 6-5 before dropping the game to LSU. They bounced back Friday with a 6-5 win over Kentucky.

In the first meeting of these teams during this tournament, LSU pulled out a tight 11-10 victory. LSU entered the eighth inning down by three runs, but scored two in the top of that inning and two more in the top of the ninth to get the win. Michael Braswell III hit the go-ahead single in the ninth, his only hit of the contest. Steven Milam and Jake Brown both had two RBIs for the Tigers.
On South Carolina’s side, the team jumped to a 5-0 lead after a big third inning, then plated four in the sixth inning. It wasn’t enough, but it was still a strong offensive effort from the Gamecocks.
