Atlético Ottawa heads west on Monday aiming to close the gap atop the table and complete a season sweep of host Valour FC.
Having gone unbeaten in the first four meetings against Valour FC this season, Atlético Ottawa swings into Manitoba on Monday looking to tighten the standings atop the Canadian Premier League table. Ottawa comes into tonight five points behind Forge FC with seven matches to play as home field advantage throughout the playoffs is on the line for the top seed. Valour faces an uphill battle in the playoff chase, sitting 13 points behind Cavalry FC for the fourth and final playoff spot with six of its final seven fixtures coming against teams above Valour in the standings. Ottawa has not lost to Valour since Sept. 24, 2023.

Tied for the league lead with nine goals scored this season, Atlético Ottawa attacker Ruben del Campo has shined having tallied a goal in five consecutive matches earlier this summer. The 24-year-old Switzerland native had played professionally in Spain and Portugal before landing in Canada in the summer of 2023. Del Campo also tallied a pair of goals in a 7-0 thumping of Valour in Canadian Championship play back in May.
Valour stunned league leading Forge in a 2-1 home win in early August, but has only tallied one win in the four matches since defeating the last place HWFX Wanderers and pulling a draw against Cavs nine days ago.
Atlético Ottawa leads the all-time series 7-6-4 with Valour earning a 2-2 away draw at TD Place Stadium back in mid-July.
