On Saturday, Cavalry FC beat HFX Wanderers 1-0 to extend its winning streak to three matches and unbeaten streak to six matches. The club will have a short turnaround when it meets up with Valour FC on Wednesday, looking to extend that streak.

Saturday’s win was a 1-0 victory, powered by a goal in the 47th minute from striker Aribim Pepple. The real star though was goalkeeper Marco Christian Carducci, who made six saves in his league-leading fourth clean sheet of the season.
With Carducci in net, Cavalry has been one of the best defensive teams in the league this year.
Cavalry already beat Valour once on this current unbeaten streak. Back on May 21, the club took home a dramatic 2-1 victory. Neither team scored until the 85th minute when striker Myer Bevan put Cavalry up 1-0. Valour defender Stefan Cebara scored an equalizer two minutes later, only for Cavalry midfielder Elijah Adekugbe to score the game-winner in the second minute of extra time.
