Drake goes for its sixth straight win on Saturday afternoon when it visits St. Thomas
The Drake Bulldogs take on the St. Thomas Tommies on Saturday afternoon looking to stay hot. The Bulldogs have been red-hot coming into Saturday as they have won their first five conference games. They started the year just 1-1 with a loss to South Dakota, but have been perfect since. They have done it with great defense as they have given up 17 or fewer points in each of their last four games. It is a big turn around as they had given up at least 28 points in their first three games. Last week they had their best game of the season as they shutout Marist 19-0. They held Marist to just 239 total yards and only 84 on the ground. It was a great performance that pushed the Bulldogs record to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the Pioneer conference.

The Tommies will look to deal the Bulldogs their first conference loss as they try and avoid a second straight loss.
They saw their four-game winning streak snapped last Saturday when they struggled on offense in a 21-7 loss to Morehead State.
The Tommies lost three of their first four games, but had started to turn things around once their conference schedule starts. The loss was their first in conference play and has them tied with Morehead State for second place, a game back of the Bulldogs in the standings.
The Tommies can create some chaos in the conference with a win on Saturday. It would pull the two teams even and they could end the weekend in a three-way tie.
