In the women’s singles draw upsets have been the story with only top-seeded Tai t-y remaining of the top four players in the tournament. She will look to avoid an upset against seventh seeded Putri Kusuma Wardani today in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Taipei Open.
The remaining top seeds in the women’s singles draw include fifth-seeded Natsuki Nidaira, sixth-seeded Pai Yu-po and eighth-seeded Sim Yu-jin all looking for their slots in the semifinals as well against unseeded opponents.
Also in action are the men’s doubles quarterfinals featuring the second-seeded team of Lee Jje-huei and Yang Po-hsuan from Chinese Taipei as the highest remaining team in the draw. They are two wins away from winning the 2024 Taipei Open.
In the women’s doubles draw the top-seeded sibling team of Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard from Thailand look to advance in a field that still features the second, third, fourth and seventh seeded teams. The quarterfinals will be an action packed round with some of the best singles and teams remaining, but also upsets potentially still on the horizon.
