Unbeaten Lester Martinez looks to move up the super middleweight ranks with a win over Joeshon James Wednesday night.
Lester Martinez (18-0-0, 15 KOs), ranked No. 8 among super middleweights by Ring Magazine, looks to remain perfect when he takes on unbeaten Joeshon James (9-0-2, 5 KOs) in the main event at ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida on Wednesday night. Martinez vs. James headlines a five-fight card . Martinez, from Guatemala City, topped Carlos Gongora by unanimous decision in 10 rounds on June 28 in Washington, D.C. James last fought on Feb. 16 in Plant City, beating Vaughn Alexander in an eight-round unanimous decision despite having a point deducted for using his forearm in the final round. James fights out of Sacramento and has won two straight fights since a four-round majority draw with Abilkhan Amankul on Sept. 30.

In the prelude to the main event, super welterweight Vladimir Hernandez (15-6-0, 7 KOs) takes on Raul Garcia (13-1-1, 11 KOs) in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds. Hernandez, born in Mexico and fighting out of Stockton, California, is a southpaw coming off a sixth round knockout of Gudo Emmanuel Schramm in Plant City on June 5. Garcia, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, took his first loss on Aug. 23, 2023, when he dropped a 10-round split decision to Leonardo Ruiz in Plant City.
Jaycob Gomez (10-0-1, 6 KOs) battles Jerry Perez (14-4-1, 11 KOs) in a lightweight fight set for eight rounds. Gomez claimed an eight-round majority decision of Jose Arellano in Plant City on April 10 while Perez has lost his last two fights, most recently a third round retirement against Justin Pauldo in Plant City on Nov. 15.
The first two bouts, both six-rounders, pit middleweights Yojanler Martinez (4-0-0, 2 KOs) and Franyerson Puerta (5-4-0, 5 KOs) and welterweights Yoel Angeloni (3-0-0, 2 KOs) and Juan Carlos Campos Medina (3-0-0, 3 KOs).
