Jamie Munguia takes on unbeaten Erik Bazinyan in a super middleweight main event in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night
Jamie Munguia (43-1, 34 KOs) tries to bounce back from his 12-round loss in May to Canelo Álvarez for the IBF, WBC and WBO super middleweight belts when he faces unbeaten Erik Bazinyan (32-0-1, 23 KOs) in the 12-round main event at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night. Bazinyan also comes off the first blemish on his record, a split-decision draw with Shakeel Phinn in Montreal on May 2, in which he retained his NABF super middleweight title. That is not at stake on Friday night. Munguia was knocked down by Alvarez in the fourth round of their bout in Las Vegas on May 4. The Munguia-Bazinyan bout headlines a nine-fight card.
