With a team-leading eight goals in nine matches, Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has already doubled his scoring output from last season and holds a two-goal lead over Marseille’s Mason Greenwood and Lille’s Jonathan David. Barcola, the 22-year-old Villeurbanne native, is in his fifth Ligue 1 campaign and second with PSG after spending three years with Lyon where he scored five goals in his first 40 matches.
Veteran goalkeeper Brice Samba has started all nine matches for Lens this season posting 24 saves and five clean sheets but allowed five goals in two matches against PSG last season.
PSG has is unbeaten in its last 10 home matches against Lens across all competitions and has won the last two meetings by identical 3-1 score lines. Lens defeated PSG on New Year’s day 2023 at Stade Bollaert-Delelis but has not won in Paris since November of 2006 scoring three second half goals in the come from behind 3-1 victory.
