Chris Camozzi and Sawyer Depee square off for the vacant BKFC cruiserweight belt in Denver on Friday night
Chris Camozzi (2-1, 2 KOs) gets another shot at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship cruiserweight title on Friday night, headlining the BKFC 67 card at Denver Coliseum in Denver against Sawyer Depee (5-2, 5 KOs). All the bouts on the eight-fight main card are scheduled for five rounds of two minutes each. Camozzi lost a split decision to Lorenzo Hunt at BKFC 50 in Denver on Sept. 22, 2023, giving Hunt the title. But when Hunt was suspended in June for a failed drug test for performance-enhancing drugs, the title was vacated. Depee comes off three straight wins, including a knockout of Keegan Vandermeer at 1:33 of the first round at the BKFC Prospect Series: Denver event on May 31.

In the co-main event, welterweight Brandon Girtz (1-1, 1 KO) takes on Cameron VanCamp (1-1, 1KO), who moves down from middleweight for this fight. Both fighters come off victories their last time out, but it’s been awhile for Girtz, who stopped Christian Torres via punches 1:10 into the fight at BKFC 41 back in April 2023. VanCamp knocked out Micah Terrill 25 seconds into Round 2 at the BKFC Prospect Series: Manassas in Virginia on Feb. 16.
Middleweights Marcus Edwards (2-0, 1 KO) and Pat Casey (1-1) square off in the featured bout. Edwards won by unanimous decision over Michael Manno on the BKFC 50 card where Camozzi lost his first title shot. Casey picked up a unanimous decision from Sam Watford at BKFC 61 in Uncasville, Connecticut, on May 11.
The main card opens with flyweights Andrew Strode (1-0, 1 KO) and Chance Wilson (3-3, 1 KO) and continues with a women’s strawweight matchup between Kathryn Paprocki, making her debut, and Sydney Smith (1-2). Bantamweights Dylan Schulte (2-1, 2 KOs) and Derek Perez (2-3, 1 KO) are next, followed by lightweights Ramiro Figueroa (1-0, 1 KO) and Carl Deaton III, making his bare-knuckle debut. The final bout before the featured fight is lightweight debut matchup between Darrian Leu-Pierre and Grady Wall.
