With just one game under their belt, the Edmonton Stingers and the the Ottawa BlackJacks will face-off on Wednesday in a CEBL basketball game.
The teams had opposite results in their first games. The Stingers picked up their first win, while the BlackJacks took a loss. Edmonton claimed its first win of the CEBL season, as it beat the Calgary Surge, 97-79, in wire-to-wire fashion on Tuesday night. The Stingers had five double-digit scorers. Meanwhile, the BlackJacks lost, 99-82, to the Brampton Honey Badgers.

Starting guard Davion Warren led the way for the Stingers with a game-high 17 points in his CEBL debut, but it was Edmonton’s bench that ended up doing most of the damage. Adika Peter-McNeilly and Ben Krikke scored 15 points a piece, while Michael Nuga added 14 points.
Despite the loss, Ottawa guard Brandon Sampson had a great game, scoring 25 points on 50 percent shooting from the field, knocking down four shots from beyond the arc.
Ottawa was without two star players that they recently announced will be returning this season in forward Deng Adel and centre Zena Edosomwan.
