Andrés Pérez enters the next-to-last race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season with a 53-point lead over Lavar Scott in the standings ahead of the Reese’s 150 at Kansas Speedway on Friday evening. Pérez is winless on the series since his 2022 debut, but the 19-year-old finished second last season behind 10 top-five finishes in 20 races. This year, Pérez again owns 10 top-fives and 16 top-10s to go with two pole positions. Scott, 21, is also without a checkered flag this season, but nine top-fives and 13 top-10s moved him up the standings.

Connor Mosack, a part-timer on the ARCA Menards Series while also driving on both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has won the last two ARCA races at Kansas Speedway. Last September, he rolled to a 3.202-second win in the Sioux Chief Fast Track 150, leading 64 of the 100 laps. Then in May, he took the Tide 150 by 0.470 seconds over Tanner Gray, taking the lead on lap 88 and holding off Gray to the checkered flag.
The track is a 1.5-mile tri-oval that opened in 2001 in Kansas City, Kansas, with NASCAR taking over ownership of the facility in 2019. The turns have 17-20 degrees of banking, with 10 degrees on the front stretch and flattening out to 5 degrees on the back.
The Reese’s 150 covers 100 laps and 150 miles. Last September’s race had just two caution flags and only Mosack and Carson Kvapil completed all 100 turns around the track.
