She will be challenged by sixth-seeded American Jessica Pegula, who is looking for her first appearance in a Grand Slam semifinal in her career.
In the men’s draw, top-seeded Jannik Sinner is having a career-best year winning the Australian Open and making it to the quarterfinals of all four Grand Slams. He takes on fifth-seeded Daniil Medvedev, who made his name in 2021 at the U.S. Open by winning his first and only Grand Slam title.

Swiatek is playing some of her best tennis right now, winning her first four matches in straight sets to advance to the quarterfinals. This is the third meeting between Swiatek and Pegula in a Grand Slam, both in quarterfinals, and both seeing the top-seed win in straight sets.
Also on the court today in the women’s singles draw is a quarterfinal match between 22nd seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia and unseeded Karolina Muchova. These two have met three times before, never in a Grand Slam, with Muchova winning all three matches with the most recent being a competitive three-set battle.
The men’s singles fourth quarterfinal features 10th seeded Alex de Minaur looking to break through to the semifinals in a Grand Slam tournament against 25th seeded Jack Draper.
