Team USA jumps out to a 5-0 lead after just one day at the Presidents Cup heading into day two.
The Presidents Cup in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, will head into the second day today with foursomes on Friday. On Thursday, Team USA took on Team International in foursomes and the United States came away with the very rare full-day sweep. Tony Finau and Xander Schauffele finished one up on Jason Day and Byeong Hun An. Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala also finished one up on Min Woo Lee and Adam Scott of Team International. The third game ended three and two with Russell Henley and Scottie Scheffler taking down Sungjae Im and Tom Kim. Team USA kept up the hot streak in match four with a win from Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark finishing one up on Christian Bezuidenhout and Taylor Pendrith. The last game ended in a two-and-one final as Sam Burns and Patrick Cantlay beat Corey Conners and Hideki Matsuyama.

Cantlay and Schaffele will tee off first against Matsuyama and Im at 1:05 p.m. ET. They will be followed by Theegala and Morikawa for the US taking on Scott and Pendrith from the International. The third of the five groups will be Homa and Brian Harman taking on Bezuidenhout and Day teeing off at 1:33 p.m. ET.
Clark and Finau will square off against Conners and Mackenzie Hughes at 1:47 p.m. ET while Scheffler and Henley finished the five groups against the International team of Si Woo Kim and An at 2:01 p.m. ET. The International needs to get started quickly and have a great day today just to stay in contention moving forward.
