On Saturday, a huge matchup takes place in Copa America soccer when Mexico takes on Jamaica. Watch it on Fubo.
With Copa America 2024 beginning on Thursday, it’s time for Group B to continue play on Saturday as Mexico faces Jamaica in a very important match. The match is extra important considering the other two teams in the group, Chile and Peru, are no pushovers, so a loss tonight could greatly hamper either Mexico or Jamaica’s ability to get to the knockout stage of the tournament. Mexico is currently in a slight rebuild, although it is the reigning Gold Cup champion. In its most recent official competition, Mexico fell to archrival USA in the CONCACAF Nations League final, a very disappointing result.

Mexico has improved form since then, though it did recently fall 3-2 against Brazil despite a valiant effort. That was after the Mexican national team got demolished by another South American power, Uruguay, 4-0 just days prior. In all, this is a tough time for the Mexican national team, though it usually dominates against non-USA CONCACAF competition, so a match against Jamaica might just be what the doctor ordered for Mexico.
The last time Mexico and Jamaica faced off was in July of 2023, a dominant 3-0 draw win for Mexico in the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal. Jamaica has won three matches in a row entering tonight, defeating Dominica 3-2 in a World Cup qualifier in early June behind goals by Shamar Nicholson and Kaheim Dixon.
