Boston got the scoring started in that game with the first goal from Hampus Lindholm, assisted by Andrew Peeke. Philadelphia quickly tied the game with a goal from Rasmus Ristolainen. The same thing happened in the second period with Matthew Poitras lighting the lamp, followed by Michkov’s first goal of the game evening the score again.
So far in preseason play that game was the first overtime for both teams. These Eastern Conference rivals have plenty of history against each other over the years in the regular season and playoffs, as well as the preseason.
