The San Jose Sharks are coming off an overtime win when they host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.
The San Jose Sharks are turning a corner having won four of their last five games when they host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. The Sharks are trying to win back-to-back games tonight after beating the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday by a 2-1 final. The win came in overtime at home with Alex Wennberg scoring a spectacular game-winning overtime goal for his third of the season. Even better news than the win was the return of No. 1 overall draft pick Macklin Celebrini. Jack Thompson got San Jose’s first goal of the game late in the second period. But it was the heroics of goalie Vitek Vanecek who was easily the first star of the game stopping 49 of Columbus’ 50 shots compared to the Sharks shooting 27.
